Streams in the South

2025 Weekend Gathering
Cartersville, Georgia
June 20-22

(a stone entrance sign on the side of the road for Red Top Mountain State Park, Georgia, surrounded by a pine tree forest)

About

It is our prayer that this weekend will be a time of rejoicing, refreshment, and reconnection with Yahweh and with fellow believers in Yeshua Messiah. Most of all, our passion is that, as we gather to praise Him with ready and expectant hearts, He will pour out on us His Spirit—His living water. Like flash floods in the desert, may revival come!

Details

Lodging

Reserve a campsite, yurt, cottage, or large RV spot at Red Top Mountain State Park. Overnight guests pay a daily ParkPass fee of $5 only once per vehicle during their stay, regardless of duration. Parking is not included with reservation. If you choose to stay at a hotel in nearby Cartersville, you will have to pay a daily ParkPass fee at one of the green honor boxes around the park (there is one near the entrance to our group shelter). If you plan to attend on Sabbath, we recommend paying for 2 ParkPass fees on Friday. Firewood is available at the Visitor Center or Trading Post for $8 a bundle. Firewood from outside the park is prohibited in order to maintain forest health.

Venue

The group shelter is enclosed, but has no air conditioning. You may eat at your campsite or bring your food to the shelter (open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9:45 am to 9:45 pm). We have access to 3 refrigerators, 3 large microwaves, and a commercial gas range. There are 11 outlets available in the kitchen. The kitchen facilities are lackluster in appearance; think “camping.”

What to bring

Bring your own camping gear, food, and drinks. Streams in the South will provide plates, plasticware, and paper towels in the group shelter for lunch and supper on Sabbath and Sunday. Remember to bring your own cups. Also bring board games, outdoor games, and musical instruments to play (bring a power source if your instruments require one). Scooters and skateboards are welcome in the campground area, but not throughout the park.

Want to help?

We will be setting up the group shelter on Friday afternoon; feel free to lend a hand. We will officially start the gathering at 7:30 pm in the group shelter.

Q & A

Who is organizing this event?

The Williams Family from Jacksonville, Alabama, ages 18 to 60-something. We have been Torah-pursuant for 20 years and host a weekly Sabbath gathering called Jacksonville Sabbath Fellowship. You can find it listed in the 119 Fellowship Finder.

Who is this event for?

Believers of all ages who are looking for fellowship with Yahweh and others.

Does this event have a statement of faith?

Yes: Yeshua is the divine Son of God Who came to save us from our sins so that we can walk even as He walked in His Father's laws.

Will there be any formal teaching?

While the main purpose of this gathering is fellowship, on Sabbath (Saturday) afternoon there is time allotted to study the Bible with your family, your group, or another group. (Leviticus 23:3)
